-2013 Holiday Schedule & Preschool Closures-

Bright Beginnings is a year round preschool.  Although we do not close for the summer, we do closely follow the A.I.S.D. school calendar for paid holiday closures and breaks.  We will be closed on the following dates for 2013:

  *Martin Luther King Day- Jan 21st               *Columbus Day-Oct 14th                     

        *President’s Day- February 18th               *Veterans Day-Nov 11th

        *Spring Break- March 11-15th                 *Thanksgiving-Nov 27th-29th

        *Good Friday/Easter- March 29th        *Winter Break-Dec 23rd-Jan 3rd

        *Memorial Day- May 27th

        *Independence Day-July 4th & 5th
        
              *Labor Day-Sept 2nd

Vacation Time: We also take up to 10 days of paid vacation sometime throughout the calendar year.  We will always give a minimum of 30 days notice prior to taking any vacation time.

Scheduled vacation: Preschool will be closed on the following days for vacation 2013:
August 5th-9th
September 13th, 16th, 17th

Sick/Personal Days: In the event of a family emergency or if our family should become ill, we reserve the option to take up to 10 paid sick/personal days per calendar year. Please know that we will only take these days if we are genuinely sick and/or contagious, have a death in the family, or any other family emergencies that would cause us to close preschool and be away for a short period of time.

Inclement Weather: We will follow the A.I.S.D. closures for inclement weather, including but not limited to: flooding, freezing roads, icy conditions, snow days, hurricanes, tornado warnings, and any public health or safety issues.  Local television and radio stations broadcast this information; and if in doubt, please call us to confirm.  A sign will be posted on the outside of the preschool door as well to signify closures.  In the event of an extended loss of electricity or water due to weather conditions, etc. during the course of the day, early preschool closures should be expected.  Parents will be notified by phone or email if these situations should arise and prompt pick-up will be expected to avoid late fees.  There will be no make-up days or refunds of tuition during this time.
